Norwegian Cruise Line Offers All-Inclusive Package

There is a lot of competition in the cruise market these days. Cruise lines try to outdo each other with each new ship build, offering entertainment and activities galore, to try to entice you into cruising with them rather than the competition. And with the proliferation of all-inclusive resorts available to choose from in the Caribbean also taking a bite out of the cruise market, the cruise lines have begun taking steps to compete with them too. Most of the mass market types of cruise lines already offer different types of beverage packages, where you can pay one price for all your drinks for the length of your cruise.
Norwegian Cruise Line has taken it one step further, and is the first mass market cruise line to announce an All-Inclusive Package. Purchase one of their 2015 all-inclusive packages as an add-on to your next cruise, and save up to $600 on a complete vacation experience with over $2400 in value. The package is being offered right now at $899 per person on top of your cruise fare for a 7-day sailing, with package price subject to change based on the duration of the sailing. The package includes:
• Ultimate Dining package – dine at a specialty restaurant, which usually carry an extra charge, every night of your cruise. Includes gratuities.
• Ultimate beverage package – includes spirits, cocktails and glasses of wine up to $10, bottled beer up to $5.50 and draft beer up to $5.95, and unlimited fountain soda and juices.
• Up to 6 bottles of water
• Shore excursion credit of up to $200 per guest
• 20 photos, any size
• Chocolate covered strawberries
• Bottle of wine
• 1 bingo session (3 games)
• 250 minute internet package
• Gratuities associated with package and service charges
• Plus 10% off your cruise fare
The packages are being offered on all 3-14 day sailings in 2015 excluding the Pride of America, and reservations must be made no later than August 29, 2014. Norwegian Cruise Line pioneered many “firsts” in the cruise industry which have become standard across most cruise lines, including being the first to purchase a private island for their passengers. Time will tell whether or not this one will catch on with the others as well.
