Connecticut Vegetarian Society is a nonprofit organization which advocates a compassionate and healthy vegetarian diet. We welcome all people who want to improve their health and the health of the world.
On April 13, Sunday, at 4:30 PM, Northern Connecticut Vegetarian Society will have Chef Mary Lawrence as the featured presenter at its Monthly Potluck. Her “Easy Peasy Vegan Eats" lecture and demonstration will provide tips for planning an abundant kitchen garden and feature recipes from Mary’s soon to be released cookbook. Mary Lawrence is the owner/director of Well on Wheels, Connecticut's premier vegan personal chef service which provides fresh whole foods plant-based meals that are made from scratch, and customized and prepared for you in your own home. Everyone is invited. For the Potluck, bring a healthy vegan dish to share along with a list of its ingredients and your recipe. Vegan food has no animal ingredients (zero honey, dairy, eggs, meat, and fish). Please bring your place setting (plate, cup, and utensils). The Suffield Senior Center, 145 Bridge Street, Suffield, CT, is the location for this event. Donation of $9 is requested. Children are free.
