ACWM looking for Addy award submissions

ACWM looking for Addy award submissions
SPRINGFIELD — It's ADDY season again in Western Massachusetts and The Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts (ACWM) is proud to call upon creatives throughout Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Berkshire counties to submit their finest examples of creative advertising and design produced in 2010.
The annual ADDY Award competition recognizes creative excellence in all media including print, broadcast, interactive, out-of-home and public service advertising.
The ADDY Awards competition is a three-tier local, regional and national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Success in the ACWM ADDY competition is truly a win-win for entrants.
That's because the Western Mass ADDYs count as both the local and regional competition, which means you could breeze right into the national competition. ACWM is the only AAF-member club in the New England district — sweet loophole.
A distinguished panel of advertising experts will select winners in Springfield on Feb. 11.

Submit

Entry fees for ACWM professional members are $70 for single entries and $90 for campaigns. Professional Non-Member fees are $100 for single entries and $130 for campaigns. Student fees are $25 for both single entries and campaigns. Gold award-winning entries will be forwarded to the National competition without additional fees, while Silver award-winning entrants will be offered the option of forwarding with a fee.
To be eligible for consideration of an ADDY, all work must have been published or aired between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2010.
All ACWM ADDY entries must be registered online. For information on submission guidelines and a direct link to commence the submission process, visit submitandrepresent.com.
The deadline for mail submission (postmark) is Jan. 31. In-person submissions will be accepted on Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Berkshire Bank Community Room, 1259 East Columbus Ave. in Springfield.
For more information, or to receive an ADDY Awards call for entry, contact the Ad Club at 736-2582.

See the work that's conjured emotion, swayed opinion and touched hearts. Represent your agency, your clients and your corner of Western Mass. All ADDY award entries will be exhibited and winners recognized at the 2011 ADDY Awards Gala" on March 24 at Springfield's Robyn Newhouse Hall located at the Community Music School at 127 State Street.
About the ADDYs: The ADDYs are the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, recognizing and rewarding creative excellence. Conducted annually by the AAF, the ADDY Awards competition is a three-tier national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. Local winners then compete against other winners within their regions in one of 14 district competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the national/international ADDY Awards competition.
Selection of the most creative entry in each category is made using a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. In each category, a Gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the competition. Entries that are also considered outstanding and worthy of recognition receive Silver ADDYs. The number of awards given in each category is determined by the judges, based on the relative quality of work in that category. Gold and Silver winners advance to the district competition. About the Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts: The Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts is the premier organization for all marketing and communications professionals in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.
The club offers its members the ability to advance and enrich the advertising community, by acting as a catalyst for idea exchange, professional development, and creative energy. The club offers its members a forum to learn, network, recognize achievement and give back to build a stronger advertising and marketing community. More information online at adclubwm.org.
