Bluebird's Teixeira wins award third year in a row |

EAST LONGMEADOW Bluebird Estates Executive Chef Carole Teixeira is the Holiday Retirement Culinary Arts Award winner for the third consecutive year. She was also named Chef of the Year earlier in 2009.
"I'm proud that my staff helps me get this far," she said. "You can't get there alone. You have to have a good team there with you to help you achieve those goals."
Teixeira has been in the restaurant industry for more than 12 years and says working with Bluebird residents and pleasing them is the highlight of her day. She said Holiday Retirement, which owns Bluebird, gives her the freedom to create in the kitchen and that her current position has been one of the most rewarding of her career.
Bluebird is located at 1 Apple Blossom Lane in East Longmeadow.
