Center for Business and Technology to host course on business writing
SPRINGFIELD In a recent study, 80 percent of corporations in such fields as finance, insurance, and real estate said good writing skills are necessary for employment. More than half the businesses said over half their employees are expected to write reports, memos and correspondence. This course will provide participants with the opportunity to brush up on what most businesses consider a key skill that is required in order to get hired or promoted. Participants will learn how to write effectively in every format from e-mail to major reports, techniques for overcoming writer's block, and will come away from this course with a more polished, confident writing style.
