Free class helps adults prepare for college and career paths

HOLYOKE Interested in college and a good career, but need help getting ready? Holyoke Community College (HCC) and the Community Education Project offer a free course to help adult learners prepare for college. The course, which runs April 5 through May 28, meets at HCC Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Students will receive instruction in reading, writing, math and pre-algebra, basic science, computers and study skills. The classes are taught in English, and counseling is available in English or Spanish.

To take the class, participants must have graduated from high school more than five years ago or have earned a GED. To register, call 552-2852 or e-mail edreyfuss@hcc.mass.edu.
