Marketing is a key aspect of a thriving business

How much you spend on your marketing rarely guarantees success. Sustainable business success and growth requires a clearly communicated vision to the right audience along with written goals and a coordinated sales and marketing plan that drives your desired results. "Building An Effective Sales and Marketing Plan" is the subject of this essential new SCORE workshop. This SCORE Workshop will take place on Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Scibelli Enterprise Center, One Federal St., Springfield, across from the STCC Campus. You can register now for this workshop by calling 785-0314 to leave your name and phone number. There is a nominal fee of $25. Pre-registration is required. The workshop facilitator, Rick Forgay, is a successful businessman, community leader, author and a SCORE counselor. Forgay brings real world experience as an award winning marketing executive in the newspaper industry, as well as in his own leadership development company, the Rick Forgay Institute. For the new entrepreneur, or one looking to grow an existing business to the next level, this workshop will help you to achieve sales and marketing goals with less cost, measurable results and greater enjoyment. Key topics covered include definition and clarification of the most important business goals, creation of a "No Stone Unturned" strategic marketing plan, how to organize, prioritize and maximize sales generating resources and activating a daily action plan guaranteed to achieve your marketing goals. SCORE is a non-profit, all volunteer national organization. We are a resource partner of the United States Small Business Administration. The SCORE mission is to provide free and confidential counseling and low cost business workshops to men and women who are starting up or operating a small business. We have 43 volunteers locally with a wide range of business background and skills. Counseling is provided in Springfield at the Scibelli Enterprise Center and at WNEC, as well as at branch locations in Greenfield, Pittsfield, Northampton and Agawam. The local SCORE office (785-0314) is located in the Scibelli Enterprise Center across from the STCC Campus at One Federal St. in Springfield.
