Pops Biscotti & Chocolates now open
Sept. 10, 2012
WILBRAHAM Pop's Biscotti & Chocolates recently opened its doors for business at 3157 Boston Road. Owners Maria Ferraro Wingate and Jeff Wingate are very excited to be on this adventure, filling a need for area residents' demand of sweets.
The Wingates have been creating various flavored chocolates and mini biscotti for years, and are well known throughout the community at local craft and vendor shows. They specialize in hand painted chocolate favors that are custom made to order for birthdays, showers, weddings, and graduation celebrations. With more than 1,000 molds on hand, they can accommodate any occasion.
In the shop, patrons can indulge themselves with signature chocolates: Turtle Turtles, Peanut Butter Pyramids, Cherry Bombs, and the ever famous Ancho Chile Chocolate with roasted pumpkin seeds are just some of their chocolate creations.
For those who haven't tried biscotti, The Wingates have made it a point to make their biscotti enjoyable for everyone. "Biscotti" Italian for "cooked twice" are traditionally made for dipping.
At Pop's Biscotti & Chocolates, the bakes are not as long, producing a crisp outside and a softer inside, making the biscotti suitable for eating alone as a snack or to dip in a favorite drink. Assorted flavors include pistachio, chocolate brownie chip, and chocolate covered cherry to name a few.
