Stratton is a Springfield native and Cathedral High School graduate who also worked for two years as policy director in the State House office of former State Sen. and Minority Leader Brian P. Lees.
He has previous experience in the Massachusetts Office of the United States Attorney and served as a volunteer lawyer for Lawyers for Children America in Hartford. Stratton earned his law degree from Suffolk University in Boston where he graduated magna cum laude in 2004. He holds an undergraduate degree from Colgate University, cum laude, in Political Science. He also earned a Master of Science from the McCormack Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston where he was honored with the Richard A. Hogarty Award for Academic Excellence.
The son of Wilbraham Chief of Police Allen Stratton, the younger Stratton was a Rappaport Fellow in Suffolk University’s Rappaport Honors Program in Law and Public Policy. He also previously worked for Bingham McCutchen in Hartford, Conn., where he practiced in the area of commercial litigation. He also formerly worked for the Boston firm Brown Rudnick LLP in the civil litigation practice.
