|EAST LONGMEADOW In recognition of National Alzheimer's Awareness Month, East Village Place, an assisted living and memory care community, will host a community education event presented by Susan Megas, APRN, PC from the Baystate Medical Center Memory Disorders Program.|
The program "Are They Just 'Senior Moments' or Are They Something More?" will be presented on Nov. 11 from 6 to 7 p.m.
The presentation will assist attendees in identifying, evaluating and treatment options for memory problems that are not part of the normal aging process.
Megas is an advanced practice nurse who has coordinated the Memory Disorders Program at Baystate Medical Center for 15 years. In addition to her role as coordinator, she provides treatment and follow-up for patients evaluated in the program. She is also an Associate Professor for Tufts Medical School.
