Mothers, wives, partners, daughters, sisters, friends, survivors and other women from the Western Massachusetts community gathered at Pazzo Ristorante in Springfield to attend the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women special event on Sept. 16. Guests enjoyed a networking reception where they shared stories of heart, followed by an inspiring story from a stroke survivor. Kim Z. Westbrook of Springfield gets a helping hand from Jim Ovitt, Director of Operations of Yankee Candle Village, while at the recent Go Red For Women event. Yankee Candle, the local cause sponsor of Go Red, provided each woman with the opportunity to form a wax hand.
