| Springfield College students will be at the Hungry Hill Center on Sept. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to noon to present info on the benefits of exercise. This is a free program for area residents and light refreshments will be served. Call the center at 733-9411 to register for this program.|
Chicopee Visiting Nurse Association will have a nurse at the center on Sept. 22 from 9 to 11 a.m. Glucose screening (which requires fasting), along with blood pressure readings will be offered. This is a free service to area seniors.
There are low impact aerobic classes at the center on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m., a chair exercise on Monday afternoons at 1 p.m. and line dancing on Fridays at 10 a.m. All ages are welcome to participate this summer. There is a fee for the low impact aerobic classes only. Classes are sponsored by the City's Department of Elder Affairs. Advance registration is not required.
