Hoop Hall to host Kids Safety Expo
SPRINGFIELD All parents could agree that education is key and keeping a child safe is their number one priority, but safety education can be fun as well. Several Western Massachusetts area businesses will be helping parents do just that by giving them safety tips and tools at a special interactive event.
The Kids Safety Expo will be presented July 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
The event was created after Atty. Thomas Libbos of Libbos Law mentioned to his marketing firm, Market Mentors that he wanted to promote bike safety by offering complimentary bike helmets to children. Market Mentors then decided to incorporate bike safety into an entire large-scale child safety event and is producing the morning affair.
"Last year was a tremendous success and provided a great way for both kids and parents to learn about safety tips," Libbos said.
In addition to the participation of Libbos Law, the large-scale, absolutely free event coincides with 94.7 WMAS ESPN Radio 1450 Safe Summer promotions.
Participants have the opportunity to win a pre-owned Volvo from Performance Motoring of Hadley by playing the Lucky Dice Game. The stations will also be giving out the last three digits of the combination for the 94.7 WMAS $1,000 Safe Summer Contest.
