Yoga can help keep your body young, your mind vibrant and your spirits soaring! It addresses the needs of the body, mind and spirit, and because of that, it is an easy way to beat stress, release tension and cultivate health and wellness. Heartsong Yoga offers several styles of yoga, and these seasonal free classes give the community a chance to explore their offerings. New to the schedule is "Boomer Yoga," with a free class on May 13 at 7:30 p.m. with Heartsong's co-directors Sheila and Tony Magalhaes. If you are an active, healthy "baby boomer" this is a class to attend! On May 19 at 6 p.m., try a free Ashtanga Yoga class with Patty Weiss. Sometimes called Power Yoga, it is a vigorous, hot style of yoga, for those looking for a more physical athletic practice. A free Kripalu Yoga class will take place on May 20 at 7:30 p.m., a gentler, more relaxing style of yoga for "every body" with Maria Edwards. Heartsong Yoga is located at 264 North Main St. in East Longmeadow, and drop ins are welcome, junior high school age and above. Call 525-0720 or visit www.heartsongyoga.com for more details.
