Last Red Cross chili sale this week

SPRINGFIELD -- The American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter's disaster action team is hosting their last "Red Cross Recipe" Blue Ribbon Chili Sale of the year on Nov. 18.
This event serves as a special fundraiser to support the work of the Red Cross disaster action team the amazing volunteers who participate in Red Cross trainings and respond to help hundreds of individuals in our hometowns every single year who are affected by disaster.
The "Red Cross Recipe" chili is homemade by our own staff and volunteers. It serves not only as a fundraiser but also as a special training opportunity for disaster action team members so they can hone and develop their skills in "Mass Care" the area of Red Cross service delivery during disaster that includes large feeding operations. Participants will learn how to manage bulk food preparation, distribution and delivery methods.
Pre-orders will be accepted until noon on Nov. 17. Both a vegetarian and beef chili option are available and each $4 serving includes corn chips. Orders will be available for pick-up at the Pioneer Valley Chapter at 506 Cottage St., on Nov. 18 between 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Free delivery is available to Spring-field-based agencies and businesses.

Simply specify how many orders, the variety beef or vegetarian and what time you will pick up your order.
