|CHICOPEE The Chicopee Public Library will one again welcome Gina Welch, Licensed Massage Therapist, to give a Wednesday evening talk on Aug. 6 that will educate people about using massage to enhance their bodies' innate ability to heal. Welch will focus on the benefits of massage in relieving symptoms of scoliosis.|
Welch recently opened the CranioSacral and Massage Center Inc. in Chicopee where she offers Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and CranioSacral Therapy. Welch is Upledger trained, as well as Kripalu certified. Welch said, "People don't realize that an overused, contracted muscle is so strong that it bulges discs, numbs fingers and causes sciatica or chronic headaches/migraines. It has been my experience that many of these symptoms can be resolved through massage."
The talk is free and will be given in the Conference Room of the Chicopee Public Library, 449 Front St., on Aug. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Please call 594-1800 ext. 108 for more information.
