Red Cross to hold blood drives

GREATER SPRINGFIELD – The American Red Cross will host several community blood drives during the month of December.

All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood. Blood donors are needed every day to ensure an adequate blood supply for patients in need.

To make an appointment to donate blood, call 800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767) or log onto redcrossblood.org.

The following is a list of blood drives within The Reminder’s circulation area:

• Dec. 9 – Eastfield Mall, 1655 Boston Road, Springfield, from 1 to 6 p.m.;

• Dec. 10 – Walgreens, 625 Carew St., Springfield, from 1 to 6 p.m.; Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee, 580 Meadow St., Chicopee, from noon to 6 p.m.;

• Dec. 11 – Stop & Shop, 935 Riverdale St., West Springfield, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.;

• Dec. 13 – Holyoke Community College Bartley Center, 303 Homestead Ave., Holyoke, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Dec. 14 – Wilbraham Fire Department, 2770 Boston Road, Wilbraham, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.;

• Dec. 16 – Knights of Columbus, 26 Baldwin St., East Longmeadow, from 1 to 7 p.m.; South Hadley Public Library, 27 Bardwell St., South Hadley, from noon to 6 p.m.;

• Dec. 17 – St. John’s Lutheran Church, 60 Broad St., Westfield, from noon to 6 p.m.; Moose Family Center, 244 Fuller Road, Chicopee, from noon to 6 p.m.;

• Dec. 21 – The Gardens of Wilbraham, 2301 Boston Road, Wilbraham, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Dec. 23 – Church of Redemption, 50 Maple St., Agawam, from noon to 5 p.m.; Holyoke Geriatric Authority, 45 Lower Westfield Road, Holyoke, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Dec. 24 – Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St., Westfield, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.;

• Dec. 27 – Agawam Fire Department, 800 Main St., Agawam, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Bethlehem Baptist Church, 216 Allen St., Hampden, from 1 to 7 p.m.;

• Dec. 28 – Starbucks, 66 Center Square, East Longmeadow, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Moose Family Center, 244 Fuller Road, Chicopee, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Dec. 30 – Starbucks, 620 Memorial Drive, Chicopee, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
