Spectrum Hospice seeks volunteers for varied duties |
|
Longmeadow Spectrum Hospice, a program of Jewish Geriatric Services, is seeking adult volunteers to provide companionship and a comforting presence by listening to the patient's life story, talking, going outside, reading, listening to music, playing cards or engaging in a patient's hobby. Hospice volunteers are also needed to help with administrative duties in the office.
Volunteers will be selected for a one-year commitment and are asked to complete a training program and contribute a minimum of four hours a month.
Spectrum provides comprehensive training, ongoing support and additional training as needed. For more information, call Anne Most at 565-2500.
