Vegetarian Society to hold potluck

Northern Connecticut Vegetarian Society (NCVS) is a non-profit organization which advocates a compassionate and healthy vegetarian diet. Anyone interested in improving his or her health and the health of the world is invited to their monthly potluck dinners.

On March 28 at 5 p.m., Emily Davidson will be the featured presenter at the NCVS potluck. She is a specialist in natural and holistic nutrition and a vegetarian for six years. Davidson, 21, has made healthy eating a passion and a way of life. Her first book, "101 Natural Healthy Eating Tips," was published when she was 19. She is also the creator of the "Healthy Eating, Naturally" blog and provides personal diet coaching.

Attendees should bring a healthy vegan dish to share as well as their place setting. Vegan means no animal products (zero butter, honey, fish, dairy, poultry or eggs). A donation of $7 per adult is requested. Children are free. The Carniglia Senior Center, 41 Oak St., Windsor Locks, Conn., is the location for this event. Free parking is available.

For more information, call Harry Greenberg, Coordinator, at (860) 623-8082, e-mail him at veggyharry@aol.com or visit www.northctveg.org.
