Wilbraham police to teach self defense class for women |

WILBRAHAM The Wilbraham Police Department will be holding a R.A.D. class for women ages 13 and above.
The class starts June 23 and runs for five consecutive Wednesdays (June 23, 30 - July 7, 14, and 21) at the YMCA in Wilbraham from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The R.A.D. system is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women.
This women-only course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to basics of hands-on defense training.
Mothers and daughters are welcome and high school and college bound girls are also encouraged to sign up.
To register for this course contact the YMCA at 596-2749. Class size is limited to 20 women.
There is a $5 admission fee paid to the YMCA.
