Local students graduate, make Dean's List
WELLESLY John A. Garreffi Jr. of East Longmeadow graduated from Massachusetts Bay Community College with an associate's degree in accounting on May 24. He is currently enrolled in Northeastern University in Boston, studying for his bachelor's of science in finance and accounting management.
Quinnipiac Univ. Dean's List
HAMDEN, Conn. Emily Maggio of Hampden was named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at Quinnipiac University. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits, including 12 that have been graded A through C in a semester. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester to be eligible.
SPRINGFIELD The following Longmeadow residents graduated from American International College on May 20: Jolita Degesyte was awarded a master of business administration degree; Nicole Esposito was awarded a doctor of education in educational psychology degree; Andrea Goldstein, was awarded a bachelor of science in nursing degree; and Michael Midura was awarded a bachelor of science in business administration degree.
Holy Cross Dean's List
WORCESTER Michael Papale, a fourth-year student at the College of the Holy Cross, has been named to the dean's list for the second semester of the 2011-12 academic year. He majored in Psychology and Asian Studies. He graduated on May 25.
Elms College Dean's List
CHICOPEE The following Wilbraham residents were named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at Elms College: Kayla Caine, Erica Dybas, Thomas Julian, Brianna Perry, Melanie Powers, Phillip Rurak, Carolyn Talmadge and Kimberly Tresch. To qualify, a student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better for the semester and complete at least 12 credits.
Merrimack College Dean's List
NORTH ANDOVER Nicolas Clini, of Wilbraham, a senior majoring in civil engineering was recently named to the Merrimack College dean's list for the spring 2012 semester.
