AGAWAM
HOMEMADE PIES
Friends of the Agawam Senior Center will be selling homemade pies from chef Carol Bernazki for Thanksgiving. Her 10" French meat pies are $12 each; 10" apple pies, $10; 10" pumpkin and chocolate cream pies are $9. Order at the front desk and pay for them as you order. Cut off date is Nov. 23. CHURCH SUPPER
St. David's Episcopal Church, 699 Springfield St., will host a dinner on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. Menu: baked stuffed chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, garden salad, bread and butter, apple crisp and ice cream, coffee, tea or lemonade. DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE MEETING
George Noel, director of the Mass. Dept. of Labor, will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Agawam Democratic Committee on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Agawam Public Library. He will be speaking about the underground economy and how it is robbing our state of millions in income tax and how it undermines the workers as well. All are welcome to attend the meeting.
MOHEGAN SUN TRIP
The Agawam Lioness Club is sponsoring a trip to Mohehan Sun on Nov. 15. Will leave the Agawam High School parking lot at 1 p.m.; return by 9 p.m. Will spend five hours at Mohehan Sun. MONTHLY MEETING
Friends of the Agawam Senior Center will have their monthly meeting on Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. in the Veteran's Memorial Hall on the second floor. All members are urged to attend this meeting. Come early and have a free cup of coffee or tea. At this meeting there will be elections of officers for 2010.
FALL TAVERN LUNCHEON
The Trustees of the Capt. Charles Leonard House, 633 Main St., will host the first Fall Tavern Luncheon and antique sale on Nov. 7. Seats for the lunch require a $10 donation. DECORATIVE ART EXHIBIT
Feeding Hills resident Alice Smith, traditional artisan specializing in historic Early American decorative arts as well as contemporary decorative painting and stenciling, will exhibit her work during the month of November at the Agawam Public Library. The focus will be on Theorem painting but will include examples of Early American and contemporary decorative arts as well. Viewing is during regular library hours.

Never tried Sudoku? Come and learn! Sudoku is a logic-based puzzle. The objective is to fill the grid so that every column, every row and every 3x3 box contains the digits 1 to 9. NRA BASIC PISTOL SAFETY COURSE
An N.R.A. Basic Pistol Safety Course will be offered at the Holyoke Revolver Club Indoor Range, 431 West Cherry St., on Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. This is a hands on shooting experience teaching the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safety.
