CULTURAL COUNCIL GRANTS
The Agawam Cultural Council (ACC) expects to have $8,760 grant dollars available from the Mass. Cultural Council for the fiscal year 2010. A NOVEL EFFORT
Adult writing classes with author Michael Aloisi will meet on the last Mon. of each month, from October - May from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Space is limited, so participants are requested to plan to attend all eight classes beginning Oct. 26. CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
The Agawam City Council has passed a resolution amending Section 3-9 of the Code of the town of Agawam changing the starting time for their regular City Council meetings from 7:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., effective Oct. 7. Meetings will continue to take place in the auditorium of Agawam Middle School, 68 Main St.

PAUL LEVEILLE EXHIBIT
The paintings of nationally recognized artist Paul Leveille will be exhibited at the Agawam Public Library Oct 1 - 29. EXHIBIT OF MACABRE STYLE
The work of artist Katarzyna Nowik will be on display on the lower level walls of the Agawam Public Library throughout October. The exhibit will include many things in a macabre style that's perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit including a collection of ceramic skulls, horror paintings, ghoulish accessories and anything imaginative. ROAST PORK DINNER

The Irish Cultural Center at Elms College in Chicopee announces a bus trip to Worcester to attend Pilgrim Soul Productions of J.B. Keane's Irish play "Big Maggie." We will travel to the Ancient Order of Hibernians Cultural Center on Nov. 15 for the performance at 2 p.m. After the play we will share a buffet meal in the Hall Pub.
