SPRINGFIELD -- The 18 five-foot tall high top sneaker sculptures were installed last week in time for the Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement activities. The Springfield Business Improvement District (BID) sponsored the public art installation. Gina Beavers, director of the Springfield Arts Initiative, told Reminder Publications the BID would put a map to all 18 sculptures painted by local artists on its Web site, www.springfielddowntown.com.
