Students gain cultural awareness during International Week

WILBRAHAM — Students at Wilbraham Middle School were treated to the artistry of the Chinese Acrobats on April 11 as part of International Week. The group, originally from Beijing, China is based in Lawrence, Kan., for seven months out of the year and travels the United States sharing their culture and acrobatic prowess with students throughout the country.

Students were taught how to wield the Chinese yo-yo under the instruction of Qian Zhang (right), but were told to avoid balancing a ball and eight goblets on top of a knife, as shown here.
