CHRISTMAS PARTY
The Women's Fellowship of the First Congregational Church will host its annual Christmas Party on Dec. 7 at noon in the Brownstone Gardens Community Room (75 Pleasant St). The luncheon will be pot luck. We will share a $5 gift exchange. For more info call 525-7348.

BAZAAR AND BAKE SALE

WINTER CONCERT

ELECTRONICS RECYCLING
An e-cycling drop-off fundraiser will be take place at The Meadows Lodge, 43 Chestnut St., on Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. TVs, computers, microwaves, audio equipment, phones, etc., will be accepted. Donations to benefit the Mass. Child ID Program. Call Ken at 537-1572 with any questions.

CHRISTMAS TREE SALE
The Suburban Springfield Exchange Club will host their 24th annual Christmas Tree Sale at Heritage Park on Dec. 5, 6, 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day. All proceeds benefit child abuse prevention programs in the area. For directions to get there or any questions contact Denni or Steve at 783-2446. Sale will proceed no matter the weather.

Christmas Tree Lighting
Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. marks the annual arrival of Santa Claus at the Rotary. Sponsored by E.L. Lions Club, the Fire Dept., and the First Congregational Church, this year's event will also include Christmas music, a live Nativity, and the ceremonial lighting of the tree. Children will be able to visit with Santa and enjoy refreshments with their families.

EXTENDED TOWN HALL HOURS
E.L. Town Hall will be open until 6 p.m. on Dec. 7 to accommodate those who cannot make it to the Town Hall by 4 p.m. You can also utilize the drop box at the door in front of the Town Hall or pay your bill online at www.eastlongmeadowma.gov.

GREATER SPRINGFIELD
SWINGLES SQUARE DANCE CLUB
The Swingles Square Dance Club will host a mainstream dance on Dec. 4. Dances take place at the Mittineague United Church, 800 Amostown Rd., West Springfield, from 8 - 10:30 p.m. with early rounds from 7:30 - 8 p.m. Cost is $6 p/p. GARDENING WORKSHOP
The next gardening workshop in Pernell Gerver's Gardening Workshop Series is "Christmas Decorations from the Garden." The workshop is free and open to the public and will take place Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. at Historic Northampton Museum, 58 Bridge St., Northampton. CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE
Christmas open house at the Keep Homestead Museum from 1 - 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, 35 Ely Rd., Monson. The annual event will feature the house decorated for the season, delicious refreshments and a holiday sing-a-long with Patricia Knight at the piano. FIBROMYALGIA WORKSHOPS
Dr. Jeffrey Soley will give free lectures on fibromyalgia on Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m at the Lang Auditorium and Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the West Springfield Public Library for fibromyalgia sufferers and people who suspect they may have the disease. ONCE UPON A MATTRESS AUDITIONS
The Bay Path College Performing Arts Dept. will host auditions for "Once Upon a Mattress" Dec. 1 - 3 from 7 - 10 p.m. in Mills Theatre, Carr Hall on the Longmeadow campus, 588 Longmeadow St. Actors, singers and dancers age 16 and over are needed for roles and should be prepared to sing, move and scene read. RED CROSS SWIM LESSONS
Ages 4 - 18. All levels are taught by experienced lifeguards. Children should be comfortable in the water and toilet trained. Instruction will focus on stroke development, endurance and water safety. ADVENTURES WITH ANIMALS IN ART
Ages 3 - 12. These art-rageous art-ventures explore the world of critters. Create fish, pigs, dinos, bears, birds, snakes, frogs and more using clay, ceramics, fabrics, sand, wood, tissue and other textures, techniques and mediums. SOCCER FOR PRESCHOOLERS
Ages 2 - 4. Is your preschooler ready for soccer but not ready to be on a team yet? The program is designed to introduce children to basic soccer concepts in an educational and enjoyable atmosphere. Individual instruction will be provided in passing, shooting and dribbling skills. Children will also play soccer skill related games and more. Parent participation is encouraged, but not required. TRADITIONAL AFRICAN & CARIBBEAN HAND DRUMMING CLASSES
Ages 7 and up. Enjoy this hands-on participatory class focusing on folkloric and contemporary Afro-Caribbean and West African drumming, percussion and singing. Participants will learn basic hand and instrument technique, an understanding of how drum patterns fit together, the cultural context of the music, fun and challenging drum patterns and exercises, accompanying songs in many languages and the opportunity to develop, arrange and perform a presentation. TAI CHI

A CHRISTMAS FEST
The Atheneum Society of Wilbraham announces an open house, "A Christmas Fest," at the Old Meeting House, 450 Main St., Dec. 6 from 1 - 5 p.m. Trees by Agricultural Commission, Atheneum Society, 5-Star Gardens, Military Tree, Wilbraham Art League, Wilbraham Flowers, Wilbraham-Hampden Times, Village Store and Miss Paris's second grade class. R.A.D. KIDS CLASS
The Wilbraham Police Dept. will be hosting a five-day r.a.d. Kids class at the YMCA. r.a.d.Kids is the national leader in children's safety with topics that include home, school and vehicle safety; out and about safety; realistic defense again abduction; good-bad-uncomfortable touch and stranger tricks. The class dates are Dec. 21 - 23, 28 and 29 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. The class is offered to boys and girls ages 8 - 12. To sign up for this class contact the YMCA. Class of 1969 Reunion
A reunion for the Minnechaug class of 1969 on July 10, 2010 is being planned in conjunction with the Barry and Bruce Morgan Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament on July 9.
