CHRISTMAS PARTY

WINTER CONCERT

CHRISTMAS TREE SALE
The Suburban Springfield Exchange Club will host their 24th annual Christmas Tree Sale at Heritage Park on Dec. 5, 6, 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day. Christmas Tree Lighting
Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. marks the annual arrival of Santa Claus at the Rotary. Sponsored by E.L. Lions Club, the Fire Dept., and the First Congregational Church, this year's event will also include Christmas music, a live Nativity, and the ceremonial lighting of the tree. Children will be able to visit with Santa and enjoy refreshments with their families.

E.L. Town Hall will be open until 6 p.m. on Dec. 7 to accommodate those who cannot make it to the Town Hall by 4 p.m. You can also utilize the drop box at the door in front of the Town Hall or pay your bill online at www.eastlongmeadowma.gov.

SWINGLES SQUARE DANCE CLUB
The Swingles Square Dance Club will host a mainstream dance on Dec. 4. Dances take place at the Mittineague United Church, 800 Amostown Rd., West Springfield, from 8 - 10:30 p.m. with early rounds from 7:30 - 8 p.m. Cost is $6 p/p. GARDENING WORKSHOP
The next gardening workshop in Pernell Gerver's Gardening Workshop Series is "Christmas Decorations from the Garden." CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE

ONCE UPON A MATTRESS AUDITIONS

TRADITIONAL AFRICAN & CARIBBEAN HAND DRUMMING CLASSES
Ages 7 and up. Enjoy this hands-on participatory class focusing on folkloric and contemporary Afro-Caribbean and West African drumming, percussion and singing. Participants will learn basic hand and instrument technique, an understanding of how drum patterns fit together, the cultural context of the music, fun and challenging drum patterns and exercises, accompanying songs in many languages and the opportunity to develop, arrange and perform a presentation. The Wilbraham Police Dept. will be hosting a five-day r.a.d. Kids class at the YMCA. r.a.d.Kids is the national leader in children's safety with topics that include home, school and vehicle safety; out and about safety; realistic defense again abduction; good-bad-uncomfortable touch and stranger tricks.
