EAST LONGMEADOW FUNDRAISING FEAST Support our E.L. college students. The E.L. Scholarship Foundation is hosting a Fundraising Feast at Texas Road House Restaurant at 5 Town Plaza, Springfield from 4 - 8 p.m. on Jan. 22 Be sure to tell the cashier you are visiting the restaurant on behalf of the Scholarship Foundation.
CRAFTERS WANTED Crafters wanted for Chocolate and Jewelry Fair to be held at The First Congregational Church on Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. There will be a Chinese Auction as well as loads of chocolate baked goods and homemade candy. ULTIMATE PARTY PASTA Please join us Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Elmcrest Country Club, 105 Somersville Rd. for the Ultimate Pastafest. Just $15 per person for your choice of pasta entree, salad, bread and butter and dessert. The evening also features a Silent Auction and a 50/50 raffle. SOCCER REGISTRATIONS The E.L. Rec. Dept./Soccer Assoc. announces that registrations for the Spring P.V. Season will run through Feb. 1. Please register on time, as the number of teams to be entered this Spring will be determined on the number of registrations. Come into the Rec. Dept. weekdays to register.
GARDEN CLUB The E.L. Garden Club's January meeting will be Jan. 24 at noon in Fellowship Hall of the Congregational Church on the Rotary. The featured speaker will be Chris Graziano of Graziano Gardens who will present a program on annuals and perrenials by Proven Winners. New members are always welcome to join and guest fee is $2.
HAMPDEN SEEKING APPLICANTS The Hampden Housing Authority is seeking applicants for our Elderly/Handicapped Housing program at Centennial Commons in Hampden. We are immediately in need of applicants who can accept a second floor apartment. Rent is based on 30% of net income. Interested persons should contact the Hampden Housing Authority at 566-8157.

HUNGRY HILL MEETING Meeting of the Hungry Hill Neighborhood Council Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. A representative from the Sheriff's Department will discuss the Community Accountability Program and officers from North Sector will offer crime statistic information and address residents' concerns. ROTARY CLUB'S LUNCHEON The Springfield Rotary Club is pleased to announce Atty. Andrea N. Chasen, founder of Resolutions, a conflict resolution firm, will address the Springfield Rotary Club's luncheon meeting on Jan. 18. The Springfield Rotary Club meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. in the Mass Mutual Room at The Basketball Hall of Fame, West Columbus Ave. and is a proud member of Rotary International. Lunch is $17 per person and open to the public.
POETRY READING Western New England College and Writers Spring Forth will host a reading featuring poets Lynne Thompson of Los Angeles, Gene Zeiger of Shelburne Falls and Laura Chagnon of West Springfield on Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. in the St. Germain Campus Center Bear's Den. The event is free and open to the public.
BAGELS & BLOCKS At Sinai Temple, 1100 Dickinson St., Jan. 20 from 9:15 - 10:30 a.m. Preschoolers and their parents are welcome to discover the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Shavat. We'll hear a story, sing songs and do arts and craft projects. Eat bagels and play with blocks while making new friends. This is a free event and non-members are welcome. WILBRAHAM THE ALPHA COURSE Evangel Assembly will be offering "The Alpha Course," an eleven week session. It will be held on Sunday evenings beginning Jan. 20 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at 348 Stony Hill Rd.
