BAKE SALE DONATIONS
The Friends of the Agawam Senior Center will be hosting a huge bake sale at the Castle of Knights spaghetti dinner in Chicopee on Aug. 13 from 4 - 7 p.m. The Friends are asking for donations of baked goods to be delivered to the Senior Center on Aug. 12 or 13 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The proceeds will go toward the Expansion Fund. A tag sale will take place July 19 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 184 Popular St., Feeding Hills. The proceeds will benefit Agawam Friends of Homeless Cats, a group of people who take care of lost, abandoned, feral and homeless cats, making sure they have food and water and when necessary getting veterinary care. Agawam Friends also cooperates with spay/neuter/release organizations and groups that sometimes provide foster/adoption help. MEET THE AUTHOR NIGHT
The Agawam Public Library is having a "Meet the Author Night" with Suzanne Strempek Shea's newest book, "Sundays in America," on July 22 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room. LENNY GOMULKA & CHICAGO PUSH
Heritage Hall campus will host its annual summer concert on July 24 from 6 - 8 p.m. on the front lawn of Heritage Woods Assisted Living, 462 Main St. Grammy-nominated band Lenny Gomulka & Chicago Push will play their trademarked "push" style of Polka as well as a variety of other music. The Many Faces of Violence

The Irish Cultural Center will host a Wine Tasting with an Irish Accent as a fundraiser to support the Elms College Irish Studies Program on Sept. 27 from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Mary Dooley Campus Center. To help our fundraising effort we are printing a program ad book, which will be distributed at the event. We invite our friends to become sponsors by sending $100 for a business card ad in the book.
