NEW GROUP FOR MOMS
A discussion circle for single and divorced moms is forming. It will be an opportunity to make new friends and learn that you are not alone in the challenges that come with being a single or divorced mom. The First Congregational Church at the rotary is now in the final stages of accepting applications to their Christmas Collection Craft Fair. The fair will take place Nov. 1 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. With over 700 in attendance last year, crafters can be assured that their products will receive maximum exposure. LUNCH & LEARN PROGRAM
The Pleasant View Senior Center, 328 North Main St., will welcome Nancy Wasco from the Post Office on July 16 at 11:30 a.m., who will speak about mail forwarding, mail service rates and other services the Post Office offers residents. Bring a lunch or make a reservation a day in advance for our congregate meal.
SENIOR FRIENDSHIP CLUB

MEALS ON WHEELS DRIVERS NEEDED
Would you be willing to commit a few hours a week to make a difference in a senior's day? We are in need of drivers to assist with our Meals on Wheels program, either on a regular basis or on a fill-in basis, specifically on Mondays and/or Tuesdays. Although this is considered a volunteer position, drivers are paid a daily stipend and will need to pass a background check. Stop by the Senior Center office from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. to learn more about the position and to pick up the paperwork.

CALL FOR CLOTHING PICK-UP
Big Brothers Big Sisters will be sending trucks throughout Hampden County for a free pick-up of donated used clothing and shoes in good condition. Items will be resold to Savers thrift stores or recycled as a fundraiser to support mentoring programs in the community. To find out when trucks will be in neighborhoods for pick-ups, call 732-7111.
DOW JONES RETIREES TRIP
The Dow Jones Retirees group has scheduled a three-day trip which includes two musicals, a visit to Hershey World and an Amish tour to Lancaster, Pa., Oct. 3 - 5. The two shows are the musical "In the Beginning" at the Millennium Theatre and "Wonderful Town" at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater. Most meals in included. PARKINSON'S SUPPORT GROUP

GRANBY HIGH reunion
On Aug. 8, the classes of '67 - '70 will gather for their respective class reunions at Adelfia's banquet facilities on Route 202, South Hadley. Social hour featuring an international cheese board and cash bar followed by a buffet dinner. On Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., the four classes will host the first-ever Alumni Day Picnic at Dufresne Recreation Area, Rte. 202, in Granby, where all Granby High alumni, from the year 1964 through current graduates, are invited. There is no cost for admission or parking. Guests can bring their own food or they may purchase hot food at the concession. Godfrey was diagnosed with macular degeneration in 1985 and was declared legally blind in 1988. On July 9 we will have the pleasure of seeing the hilarious and heartwarming musical "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee." Created and developed by Barrington Stage Co. in Pittsfield, it moved to Broadway where it garnered six Tony Award nominations, ultimately winning two. BIRDS OF PREY AT STORRS LIBRARY
Wingmasters, a special birds of prey program, will visit the Philip Michael Lauro II Discovery Room at the Storrs Library on July 7 from 11 - 11:45 a.m. Wingmasters is a partnership of two dedicated people to increase public understanding and appreciation of North American birds of prey. CAR SHOW FUNDRAISER
The Knights of Columbus Council 160 will host a car show on July 7 from 5 - 9 p.m. The show is taking place to raise funds for the Natal Intensive Care Unit at Bay State Hospital. There will also be a Red Cross Blood Mobile on site from 2 - 7 p.m. The car show will take place at the Knights of Columbus, 2071 Page Blvd., Indian Orchard, and will display many cars and motorcycles of interest.
