SENIOR FRIENDSHIP CLUB

MURDER MYSTERY LUNCHEON

BOOK CLUB
The Book Club meets the last Tues. of every month at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant View Senior Center, 328 N. Main St. The book for June is "Women of the Silk" by Gail Tsukiyama. The Book Club is free and open to new members at any time.
BOCCE TOURNAMENT
The Pleasant View Senior Center and UNICO are co-sponsoring an opening day tournament at the Pleasant View Bocce Courts on June 12 beginning at 10 a.m. Teams of two are forming now ($25 per team). Everyone is invited for hamburgers, hot dogs and fun! Call 525-5436 to register your team.
SUMMER SWIM LESSONS
The E.L. Rec. Dept. will offer summer swim lessons June 25, July 12 and 26. Each session is nine days. Must be 5 years old at start of lessons. AEROBICS PROGRAM CORRECTION
The E.L. Rec. Dept.'s women's aerobics Tues./Thurs. classes w/Mary Ellen have begun and will be at 5:30 p.m. only, through June 24. Regular schedule resumes in September.

SENIOR CENTER OPEN HOUSE

FLAG DISPOSAL
June 13 at the American Legion Post #293, 3 Legion Court, at 1 p.m., old American flags will be properly disposed of in a ceremony to celebrate Flag Day. All are welcome to participate in the ceremony.

HAMPDEN COUNTY RADIO ASSOC.
Will be demonstrating amateur radio to the public as the club participates in the American Radio Relay League's annual emergency communication exercise known as Field Day at Dufresne Park in Granby on June 26 and 27. VETERANS SUPPORT SERVICES
So many veterans feel confused about benefits and services they've earned. There's so much to know...and so many changes from one year to the next. That's why the non-profit DAV offers help. The DAV Mobile Service Office will be located at the following locations to personally provide the best counseling and claim filing assistance available. COLONIAL ACRES WATER PROJECT
The water project will begin within the next two weeks. The contractor will be moving equipment to the site in a staging area to prepare for temporary water services. Temporary water services will be connected throughout the month of June. The Water Dept. will post further updates as received. DOG LICENSING
Town Clerk Beverly Litchfield wants to inform dog owners who have not licensed their dog(s) for 2010 that they will be late as of July 1. Litchfield asks dog owners to purchase their 2010 license before July 1 to avoid any late fees. A $10 late fee will be added to all licenses on July 1. The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School Committee will host their next meeting on June 8. A reception honoring district retirees and student reps will take place at 6 p.m., with the meeting to follow at 7 p.m. in the Minnechaug Regional High School Media Center, 621 Main St.
FATHER'S DAY PANCAKE BREAKFAST
The Wilbraham Chapter of Lions International is sponsoring a Father's Day Pancake breakfast June 20 from 8 - 11:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Parish Center, 42 Main St. All you can eat pancakes, sausage, orange and apple juice, coffee and tea. Raffle with Red Sox and Yankees tickets. Proceeds used to fund scholarships and aid eye research.
