"LAUGHS FOR LAX"
The fourth annual "Laughs for Lax" to benefit East Longmeadow High boys lacrosse will take place April 9 at the Lodge of Elks, 440 Tiffany St., Springfield, at 6:30 p.m. Cost: $25 per person and includes pot luck dinner, hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. Entertainment provided by Laughs on US. Advanced payment in full must be received by March 28.
YOUR FAMILY MATTERS
A free educational seminar will take place March 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St. Discussion topics will include estate and asset planning, benefits of funeral preplanning and financial strategies. SCHOOL MUSIC CONCERT
The Birchland Park Middle School and East Longmeadow High School Music Departments will present a "Music In Our Schools Month" concert on March 30 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Admission: $5. Children younger than 12 are free. Concert will feature the bands and choruses from grades six to 12. All are welcome.
SENIOR FRIENDSHIP CLUB
The East Longmeadow Senior Friendship Club will be entertained by John Grundstron and his Irish music on March 17 at 12:30 p.m. at the Pleasant View Senior Center, 328 North Main St. Noon luncheon is corned beef and cabbage, boiled potato, carrots and Jello. The East Longmeadow Friends of Recreation will host a membership meeting at 7 p.m. on March 22 at the Rec. Department. Residents are encouraged to attend and become part of subcommittees involved in planning the first road race, Taste of East Longmeadow and other fund-raisers with the hopes of raising funds for capital planning projects.
The East Longmeadow Rec. Department's annual basketball banquet for those in first to sixth grades will take place March 19 at Birchland Park Middle School. Events will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for first and second grades; 11:30 a.m. for third and fourth grades; and noon for fifth and sixth grades.
CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE DINNER
American Legion, 3 Legion Court, will host a St. Patrick's Day dinner on March 24 at 6 p.m. Menu: corned beef and cabbage, carrots, potatoes, garden salad, rolls and butter, carrot cake, brownies, soda, coffee and tea. MINERAL, JEWELRY, FOSSIL SHOW
The Western Mass Mineral Jewelry and Fossil Show will take place March 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and March 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Holiday Inn at Ingleside, Holyoke. The West Springfield Coin Club will host its semi-annual Coin Show at the Dante Club, 1198 Memorial Ave., West Springfield, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., on March 20. MEET AND GREET WITH SKI TEAM

Tell a story or listen to stories told by the Springfield Storytellers. The next session will be on March 18, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse, 245 Porter Lake Drive. Sessions are open to the public. There is no admission charge. Storytelling takes place every third Monday of the month.
