CHICOPEE — 2011 Amber Legare, seated in the picture, a senior at Chicopee Comprehensive High School, was crowned this year's Chicopee Colleen at the annual pageant conducted March 5 at the Knights of Columbus on Granby Road.
Legare is a member of the National Honor Society and the student council. She is also captain of the varsity girls soccer team and was named an All-State Athlete in 2010. She has also played variety basketball and track and field.
After graduating this year, Legare intends to attend either Stonehill College or Mount Holyoke College. She is the daughter of Cynthia and Donald Legare.
Her court includes, pictured from left to right, Taylor Foley, Kimberly Estey, Elizabeth Kelly and Danielle Beauregard.
