CHICOPEE Volunteers fanned out around the city on April 30 to take part in the annual park and city clean-up, sponsored by the city, the Parks and Recreation Department and Lorraine's Soup Kitchen.
High school students and other volunteers picked up trash at city parks and at other areas, such as near the former Uniroyal site, from grassy areas near Interstate 391 in Chicopee center and on the Holy Name School grounds.
Westover Job Corps students also participated by spreading mulch outside of City Hall.
