Patrick visits Chicopee Crossing

CHICOPEE -- Gov. Deval Patrick made the Chicopee Crossing construction site on Memorial Drive one of his final campaign stops last week during his re-election effort. Mayor Michael Bissonnette (left) points out the location to Patrick. Behind Patrick is Dennis Patel, the CEO of BK-Investments, which is developing the site with Frank Colaccino (right) of the Colvest Group.

Bissonnette and State Rep. Joseph Wagner both explained how the state's investments of $1.8 million to add an intersection with signals made this $30 million-plus investment of private funds possible.

When completed the development will include a hotel, office and retail space.
