School Committee vacancy

The Board of Selectmen and School Committee announce that applications for the School Committee are being accepted. The appointment to the School Committee is to fill the remaining time left on the first year of the three-year term formerly held by Thomas McGowan. McGowan tendered his resignation from the School Committee effective June 19. The remaining two years on this term will be filled by ballot as part of the Annual Town Election in April 2010.

The Board of Selectmen and School Committee members will conduct interviews to fill the vacancy on July 14 at 7 p.m. in the Hearing Room in East Longmeadow Town Hall. Persons interested in seeking appointment must be registered voters in East Longmeadow and send their resume and letter of introduction via U.S. mail or deliver to School Committee Appointment, c/o Nick Breault, 60 Center Square, East Longmeadow, MA 01028.

Applications must be received no later than July 9.
