Lions Club hold raffle

SOUTH HADLEY The South Hadley Lions Club is holding a raffle to fund their annual scholarships to South Hadley High School students. The tickets are $100 each and only 200 will be sold. The cash prizes are first $5,000; second $1,000; 10 third prizes of $300 each; 20 fourth prizes of $150 each. The raffle will be drawn at the Spaghetti Supper June 6.

Each year the Lions Club awards a $1,000 scholarship for four years. This is the Landers Scholarship in honor of former SHHS teacher and coach Tom Landers. The recipient will receive this scholarship each of their four years in college. In addition they award five $500 scholarships to graduation seniors.

There are a few raffle tickets still available. Please contact Scholarship Raffle Chairman Ron Motyka at 534-4963. Scholarship applications are available through the guidance department at SHHS.
