WNEC inducts residents into honor society

SPRINGFIELD Shannon T. Cassidy and Ashley E. Richard of South Hadley were inducted into the National Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society for First Year Students during Fall Convocation ceremonies at Western New England College. Cassidy is a Psychology major at the College. Richard is a Political Science major.

Winter R. Fontaine of Granby was also inducted into the National Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society Fontaine is a Marketing Communication/Advertising major at the College.

Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence among first year students. The purpose of this honor society is to encourage superior academic achievement among freshmen and to promote leadership early in the students' collegiate experience. Membership in Alpha Lambda Delta is open to all full-time freshmen students who earn a scholastic average of 3.5 or better at a four-year college or university.
