SPRINGFIELD The Springfield Boys & Girls Club 12th annual Festival of Trees opened last week with more than 100 Christmas trees decorated and donated by area businesses, organizations and individuals.
The annual fundraiser conducted at Tower Square draws thousands of people from the region not just wishing to view the imaginative trees, but also to try their luck in raffle for the trees.
The Festival of Trees is open through Dec. 9. The hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and free for children under the age of 12.
On Nov. 28 and Dec. 5 there will be free admission with a business card from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Currently, active military personnel and their families will be admitted free throughout the Festival.
