Finance Committee to choose new chair, vice chair Nov. 3

WILBRAHAM -- The Finance Committee will elect its new chair and vice chair at its upcoming Nov. 3 meeting.

The election was originally on the Oct. 20 meeting agenda and, while discussion was had on the roles of the chair and vice chair, no decisions on the committe's leadership were made, according to assistant town accountant and Finance Committee clerk Nancy Johnson.

The vote will, among other things, fill the seat that was held by recently elected Selectman Bob Boilard. Boilard, who held the position of vice chair, was a member of the committee for six years.

Boilard defeated David Barry in a Special Town Election on Sept. 25 after a recount of the first election resulted in a tie.
