Traffic stop leads to drug arrest
WILBRAHAM On Jan. 23 at 8:36 p.m. Officer Joseph Brewer stopped a motor vehicle on Boston Road at Brainard Road that had nearly collided with his cruiser on Boston Road, a half-mile west of Brainard Road.

Investigation of the traffic incident led to the discovery of cocaine within the vehicle. The contraband was found to be in the control of a passenger.

Anthony P. Normand, age 21 of Ludlow, was arrested for the offenses of possession to distribute Class B (crack cocaine), trafficking controlled substances (crack cocaine) and possession Class B.

Pending arraignment at Palmer District Court, the subject is being held without bail on the above charges and four Springfield District Court default warrants.
