Honoring Ecker

My family, as well as all families in our community, were sadden to learn of Sgt. Mark Ecker's passing. He has been such a wonderful inspiration and role model for so many of us. He is a true Hero and his loss is felt by so many.

I would love to see a memorial dedicated to this young man's life. My thoughts would be to change the name of Heritage Park to Ecker Park. I am sure Mark spent many an hour there, as the rest of us, in town, have. I also think it would be wonderful to construct a walking path that encompasses the park. This would give people and our beautiful Morning Glory walkers a safe place to exercise or go for a stroll while enjoying the beauty of the pond and park. This would be a fitting tribute to Sgt. Ecker, as he worked so hard to learn to walk again after his injury.

God Bless Mark Ecker. And God Bless his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
