We are hometown news

Thanks to the landscaping volunteers

Last week I took my grandson to play in Molly's Rainbow playground at Greenwood Park. I was surprised to see about 14 volunteers from Bay State Medical "Day of Caring" grooming all the gardens and the playground as well.
Also, on my walk past Center School I noticed the PTO out in full force making the grounds and playground nicely upgraded.
And we can't forget Bill Morey and his band of merry volunteers pulling up overgrown bushes, etc., at the schools and parks all over town.
We need to give a big thanks to the Longmeadow Gardeners who keep the flowers blooming beautifully in our town.
With the taxes we pay, I don't understand why we can't afford the upkeep of our schools and parks. In the meantime, thanks to the volunteers who have made the grounds of our schools and parks so beautiful.
