And You were There

Someone frightened me.
Tears filled my eyes so I couldn't see,

and you were there.

I needed a hug, or maybe two,
to help me feel not blue,

and you were there.

You helped me say a little prayer
to show me how much you care,

and you were there.

I needed an angel to watch me sleep
so a bad dream would not repeat,

and you were there.

I can feel your love around
like flowers growing in the ground,

and you were there.
