AIC's Foster takes sixth at BU's Valentine Invitational |

BOSTON — Junior Sanya Foster of Springfield placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 12.95 meters as the American International College (AIC) women's track & field team competed at Boston University's Valentine Invitational on Feb. 11.
Sophomore Jenna Miller of Chicopee tied for 23rd in the high jump after clearing 1.48 meters and finished 24th in the long jump with a leap of 4.90 meters.
Delrosario leads all scorers
HOLYOKE — Holyoke Community College freshman Ruben Delrosario of Springfield led all scorers with 14 points, but the Courgars mens basketball team fell to Dean College 63-45 on Feb. 10.
Lafond's 13 points not enough
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Senior guard Michelle Lafond of Holyoke scored 13 points each to lead the AIC women's basketball team, but the Yellow Jackets fell short, losing to Southern Connecticut State 68-62 on Feb. 11.
Felix continues to impress during freshman campaign
WESTFIELD — Freshman center Gabby Felix of Springfield has continued to play consistently well in the paint for the WSU women's basketball team.
Felix had 14 points and seven rebound in the Owls' 72-67 loss to Bridgewater State.
She was also a key player in the team's close 72-70 loss to MCLA on Feb. 7, scoring 12 points while pulling down a team-high seven rebounds.
Pride tops Golden Bears
SPRINGFIELD — Junior guard Alex Berthiaume of Springfield poured-in 30 points to lead the Springfield men's basketball team to an 85-70 non-conference victory over visiting Western New England University (WNE) in a battle of city rivals on Feb. 6.
