SPRINGFIELD -- The Springfield Armor announced that both Abdulai Jalloh, and former Armor teammate Morris Almond are playing in NBA Summer Leagues this year.
An all-time high of 116 players with NBA Development League experience will highlight the rosters of the 23 teams competing at the 2010 NBA Summer League when the desert classic tips off in Las Vegas this afternoon.
The event features 58 games played over 10 days at the COX Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
"Having an all-time high number of players with NBA D-League experience on Summer League rosters are a true testament to the successes the NBA D-League has seen over the last nine years," said Chris Alpert, Vice President of Basketball Operations and Player Personnel for the NBA D-League. "It is encouraging to look at these rosters and see young players who took advantage of the NBA D-League to further their professional basketball careers."
Almond, who played in 22 games with the Armor and averaged 22.0 ppg, will be playing with the Chicago Bulls who invited six former NBA D-Leaguers to their summer league squad.
Jalloh will be playing with the Washington Wizards this summer after playing 32 games with the Armor and averaging 11.7 ppg here in Springfield.
NBA TV will air the full NBA Summer League schedule while offering live daily studio programming with NBA Game Time.
