Armor tryouts set for Sept. 22 and Oct. 21

SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Armor today announced they will hold open player tryouts on Sept. 22 in New Jersey and on Oct. 21 in Springfield leading into the 2012-13 NBA Development League season.
The New Jersey tryout will take place at the Brooklyn Nets' training center, the PNY Center, 390 Murray Hill Parkway, East Rutherford, N.J. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m.
The Springfield tryout will take place at the Springfield College Field House, 263 Alden Street. Check-in begins at noon.
Open tryouts offer players an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of Armor coaches and front office personnel while they compete to earn an invitation to the team's training camp in November. The Armor have had nine players appear in a regular season game after making the team through local player tryouts in three seasons.
Interested players should submit completed registration and release forms along with a $150 non-refundable participation fee to the Armor office. Late registration is $200 for all forms received after Sept. 20 (for the New Jersey tryout) and Oct. 17 (for the Springfield tryout).
