On April 15, Max Robbins, 10, of Longmeadow, won the Annual Knights of Columbus Basketball Hoop Shoot at Holy Cross College in Worcester. Robbins was representing St. Mary's CYO of Longmeadow. There were four levels of competition. After winning the local, Western Mass. and regional competitions, he went on to the state finals at Holy Cross College. Competing against four other regional champions and in front of a crowd of over 300 observers, Robbins was able to sink 22 out of 25 free throws to become state champ.
