Elms to host basketball skills clinics

CHICOPEE — The Elms College men’s basketball team will conduct its “Grow Your Game” Thanksgiving clinic focusing on ball handling/dribbling, shooting techniques, passing/point guard play, footwork, finishing the play, speed, agility and quickness.

The clinics will take place on Nov. 25 and 26 and will cost $50 per day ($80 for both days) and is for boys and girls in grades 2 to 12.

Each day will feature four in-depth sessions:
  • Session 1: Shooting Lab, 9 to 10:15 a.m.

  • Session 2: Playmaker Skills, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.

  • Session 3: Scoring the Ball, 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.

  • Session 4: Team Drills, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Lunch is included for Friday’s sessions.

Ed Silva, Elms College head men’s basketball coach, will direct the clinic along with assistant coaches Todd Dean and Jay Plamondon, as well as members of this year’s Blazers squad.
