Falcons donate to tornado relief

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, announced on June 3 that they are making a $2,500 donation to the Pioneer Valley Chapter of the Red Cross to assist those people affected by the tornado that hit Western Massachusetts on June 1.

Falcons' majority owner, Charlie Pompea, is also making a personal donation of $5,000 to the Pioneer Valley Chapter to benefit tornado relief efforts.

"The Falcons organization wants to do as much as they can to assist in the relief efforts in all of our surrounding communities," Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon said. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families affected and we will continue to assist as our community continues to rally together at a time of need."
