Western New England inducted five individuals and a distinguished faculty member into its 14th Class of the Downes Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, September 28 at Rivers Memorial Center.

The honorees are (from left) Springfield native Kristen Ogulewicz Falcone '02 (women's soccer), Jennifer Mikulec Wheelock '02 (field hockey, women's lacrosse), WNE Professor of Sport Management Sharianne Walker (contributor), Enfield, Connecticut native Chuck Africano '82 (wrestling), Kevin Leonard '05 (men's hockey), and Kevin Savage '02 (men's lacrosse).
Approximately 300 people attended the banquet, which was the official kickoff event for Homecoming Weekend
